Fire Chief Everett Broadenax said a rubber hose connection to the stove which he had inspected and condemned a few weeks ago, had apparently been jerked loose. The room was filled with gas and it exploded from the fire in the kitchen stove. The children were home alone when the accidental fire broke out.
