St. Patrick's Day is celebrated each year on March 17. The day honors St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, but it's also a celebration of Irish culture. Although St. Patrick's Day is celebrated around the world by people who can trace their lineage to the Emerald Isle, millions more with no such heritage join in the festivities each year.
