Read moreOn Saturday, June 5, the people of Seminole took part in the Black Lives Matter protests currently sweeping the United States. The protest was organized by Jessica Hinton, who works for the special education department in Holdenville, and Kelsey Morrell, who works for the Seminole Nation as well as Wewoka Public Schools. The demonstration had a great turnout of around 50 to 60 people, which exceeded the expectations of the organizers.
