After nearly two months of working remotely, Seminole State College employees returned to campus on May 11. In an effort to safeguard employee health, the College provided branded face masks to faculty and staff. Appointments with financial aid and admissions are now available to current and prospective students. All summer courses will be conducted online. I never thought I’d be saying that, not because I didn’t think we’d graduate, but because I didn’t think I’d be the one giving the speech. I’m incredibly honored to be doing so. I want to thank my parents for being amazing, for pushing me to be extraordinary and for encouraging me in the writing of this speech. Thank you to all the teachers who have helped me get here. Mrs. Presley, you’re the nicest person I’ve ever met, and you made my senior year the best year of my high school career. The twins and I will always be in touch. Mrs. Pollock, thank you for being a friend first and a teacher second, especially since I am definitely not the best math student. Thank you Mrs. Schelb for letting me eat lunch in your class for a year and a half while attempting to learn physics.
