Stitt Names Justin Brown Secretary of Human Services

Governor Kevin Stitt today named Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) Director Justin B. Brown as Secretary of Human Services and Early Childhood Initiatives. Brown replaces Steve Buck, who recently transitioned to the private sector after serving as cabinet secretary since November 2017.

Events

Following is a list of events, which occur regularly each week or month in Seminole County. SATURDAY All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast at Maud Masonic Lodge, 8 - 11 a.m. The cost is $5 per person and the menu changes weekly. Seminole Area Running Club bi-weekly fun run, 8 a.m. at Seminole Municipal Park.

Varnum High School

Varnum High School participated in the Oklahoma Regional Botball tournament Saturday, March 7th. The team won several matches before being beat out later in the afternoon. Team members included Jagger Tiger, Mvhvya Gravatt, Ashley Young, and Kerri Benard.

Varnum Middle School

Varnum Middle School participated in the Junior Botball Challenge as well Saturday where they successfully completed multiple challenges. Participants included Patience Romines, Harley Bull, Abby Bull, and Ashlynn McMillan. This is Varnum’s first year participating in Junior botball.
