Workers began sandblasting the old paint off the water tower on Boren Blvd Wednesday morning. The tower is undergoing a complete makeover that involved draining it entirely. When complete, the words “Seminole” will be emblazoned in green paint across the sides of the tower.

Late Winter Storm Delivers Hail, High Winds to Seminole

It’s not yet officially spring, but severe weather normally associated with the season tore across Seminole County late Wednesday afternoon. High winds and small hail began to batter the area at around 4 p.m. as a cold front moved in from western Oklahoma.

Townhall Called by Konawa City Council

Konawa residents are invited to attend a townhall meeting to discuss local concerns next week at the community center. The meeting is slated for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 25. The community center is located in Veteran’s Park, 630 N. Madison Street.

Spring Cleaning

Left, the tennis courts on the old Roosevelt/Central school campus got a makeover recently by Seminole Parks Department employees. The courts were power-washed and scrubbed down in anticipation of increased activity as the weather turns warmer.

Cowgirls Rake in All-Conference Honors

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball team collected an impressive haul of All-Big 12 hardware with the announcement of the league’s all-conference honors on Wednesday. In addition to head coach Jim Littell, four players received recognition from the league’s head coaches.
