Cemetery Fee Hike on City Council Agenda

A proposal to increase fees at Maple Grove Cemetery is on the agenda of this evening’s regular meeting of the Seminole City Council. According to the meeting packet, the proposal was put on the agenda at the request of Public Works Director Bryant Baker.

Machinery was digging deep into North Main Street in Seminole Friday as part of a drainage repair project. A portion of Main between Walnut and Seminole remained closed Monday morning as the project continued. Motorists are urged to avoid the area or seek an alternate route.

Dental Association Encourages SoonerCare Signups

The Oklahoma Dental Association (ODA) is encouraging Oklahomans without insurance coverage to sign up for SoonerCare, saying the expanded Medicaid coverage will provide access to essential medical and dental care for individuals who previously could not afford coverage.

OMRF Names Cohen Interim President

The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation has named Adam Cohen as interim president. An attorney, Cohen joined OMRF in 2002 and has served as the foundation’s chief legal officer since 2004.
