The Seminole State College Board of Regents held an election of officers and approved the hire of a new Vice President for Fiscal at their meeting on July 15.
To open the meeting, Oklahoma State Senator Shane Jett administered the oath of office for Regent Ryan Franklin.
On Tuesday evening, July 13, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt hosted a “McGirt Victims Impact Forum” that included a panel of district attorneys and law enforcement representatives from across the state.
Last year the Supreme Court announced their 5-4 decision in the McGirt v. Oklahoma case.
Rep. Danny Williams (R-Seminole) is among a group of Republican House members asking Governor Stitt to step in and stop health care facilities from requiring workers to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Medical systems across the state have set deadlines for their workers to be vaccinated.
