As reported earlier this week, an SUV crashed into a utility pole on Wrangler Blvd. Tuesday morning, resulting in a power outage. The Producer has since learned that the SUV was hit from behind by another vehicle, causing it to hit the pole.

All five members of Oklahoma’s House Delegation on Wednesday voted against a measure to amend a Senate bill to raise the national debt ceiling. The vote was 219 to 212 and now advances back to the U.S. Senate.
On the morning of April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh parked a rented truck in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Inside the vehicle was five-thousand pounds of explosives. McVeigh ignited the fuse, got out, locked the door and ran to his getaway car.
Konawa firefighters responded to a grassfire on Wednesday, September 22 that burned approximately 85 acres. Another fire on Monday, September 27 destroyed a barn and burned approximately 5 acres.
Konawa Fire Chief Tim Coffey states that the September 22 fire was located east of Konawa.
