Read more“Pitch In! Let’s Clean Up Seminole This Week.” That’s the theme for the annual Seminole Clean Up, Paint Up, Fix Up Week which starts today. Mayor Waldo Lilly has proclaimed the week officially as “Seminole Clean Up Week.” Mrs. Doris Herrin, chairman of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce Area Beautification Committee, is chairman of the Seminole drive. Her committee has been carrying out a program of beautification on the lawn around the Municipal Building and has plans for landscaping around the city. This annual drive is an allout effort during the coming week to move out all of the accumulated rubbish, trash and other debris from every yard and home in the city. Most of this has accu mulated over the winter months. “We want to make each street and neighborhood in the city look cleaner, better, and more attractive,” said Mrs. Herrin.
