Painted Buntings are a colorful bird that returns to Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas to breed every summer, and a confirmed sighting of one was made near Seminole on Sunday. During their summer breeding season they become more secretive, staying low in dense cover, although they may sometimes be seen on bird feeders. A senior girls quartet composed of Paula Anderson, Kathy Lane, Nancy Lee and Tisha Saxton will sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Music for the processional and recessional will be played by Freida Parsons.
