A major highlight of the Seminole Homecoming Weekend is the Seminole High School Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. This special event recognizing the accomplishments of a select group of SHS graduates will be held at the Haney Center on the Seminole State College campus at 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, October 8. This ceremony will also recognize 2021 Hall of Fame inductee Leslie Pritchard Daugherty. Bryan explains that Leslie was unable to accept or appear at the ceremony in 2021 due to COVID-19 hitting her household the week of last year’s event. She will be present this year to be formally inducted as part of the 2021 class.

Read moreOn Saturday, October 22, from 1 to 3 p.m., the John and Eleanor Kirkpatrick Research Center of the Oklahoma Historical Society will host a Come and Learn program presented by Dr. Ameenah Fuller, author of the book “Okey Drew.” The event will take place in the Musser Learning Lab on the first floor of the Oklahoma History Center, located at 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive in Oklahoma City. Copies of the book will be for sale, and the author will be available for a book signing following the program. The event is free to the public, but pre-registration is required.
