(Part One) The Seminole County Board of Commissioners spent a considerable amount of time during a special meeting on Monday, August 29 discussing the area of northern Seminole County that currently has no designated EMS service located north of EW 1140 Rd. to the county line, and west of NS 3630 Rd. to the county line (NS 3500). The area includes a large high-traffic portion of I-40 that crosses Seminole County, as well as Strother School, I-40 Casino, and Catfish Roundup.

With gas prices continuing to fall and the summer boating season coming to a close, more boaters are expected to take to the water this Labor Day holiday. Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS), the nation’s largest advocacy, services and safety group with more than 800,000 dues-paying members, is advising boaters to keep safety at the forefront of their boating activities.
