The male calf is the first offspring born to mother, Kayin, 6, and father, Bosomi, 4, and the seventh okapi calf born at the Zoo. The last okapi born at the OKC Zoo was Kayin in 2015.

Read moreStudents in the Seminole Aviation II class reached another milestone in drone piloting by earning their TRUST certificates from the Federal Aviation Administration. Nineteen students completed the milestone on September 8, 2022. Law requires all recreational drone flyers to pass an aeronautical knowledge and safety test and provide proof of passage if asked. The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) satisfies this requirement and includes drone pilots with education and testing on important safety and regulatory information.
