The Oklahoma City Community Foundation recently awarded scholarships to two Seminole County students through the state’s largest independent scholarship program. Mason Burris from Konawa High School and Payton Irick from Seminole High School received a total of $4,500 in scholarships for the 2022-23 academic year.

Pottawatomie County joins a growing list of Oklahoma counties that have already implemented a burn ban as dry conditions continue across the state. Although Seminole County issued a burn ban a week earlier, this new ban now includes all of the Maud residents that are in Pottawatomie County and were not affected.
