Seven distinguished Oklahomans received the state’s highest honor in November with induction into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Among them was Dr. Michael A. Mares, director emeritus of the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History and professor emeritus of biology at the University of Oklahoma. He was presented for induction by 2013 Hall of Fame Inductee Reggie Whitten, a native of Seminole.
