WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) has been an advocate and supporter of adoption throughout his time in the Senate. He serves on the Congressional Coalition on Adoption and served as its co-chair from 2009-2014. He is also the proud grandfather of a granddaughter who was adopted from Ethiopia. He has nominated many families and individuals for the Angels in Adoption award and has welcomed a number of these awardees to Washington to honor them.
