Read moreThe Seminole Arts Council (SAC) is proud to announce their latest Public Art project is completed and ready for everyone to enjoy. The brightly colored Scissortail painting is located on N. 4th Street between E. Oak Ave. and E. Broadway Ave. Pictured (left to right) are Seminole Arts Council President Jacqi Dill, Seminole Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Amy Britt, and Wetumka artist Brandon Bray. Brandon explains that he has always been inspired to create art. As a child he had an abundance of energy. Adults discovered when they gave him paper and pencil he would quiet down. They soon appreciated his talent even more than the silence and encouraged him to keep up the good work. He put art aside until a few years ago, and eventually decided to go professional. His work can now be found in area businesses and local residences, and this is his first public piece. More of his work can be viewed on his Brandon Bray Art Facebook page or his Brandon Bray 1976 Instagram page. SAC President Dill states that they are seeking more walls to host additional public artwork, and as a 501 (c)-3 organization they will raise the money to pay for the art, so the property owner doesn’t have to. Anyone interested in beautifying their property for free can contact seminoleartscouncil@gmail.com or call/text (405) 303-1191. (Staff photo by Bob Melton)
