Voters will take to the polls today to decide whether the use of recreational marijuana should be legalized in Oklahoma or if it should remain criminalized.
During the Seminole Board of County Commissioners meeting on Monday, Seminole County EMS Director Aaron Sowder noted that on Sunday area firefighters were called out to a grass fire in the Strother area. High winds fanned the flames, which quickly spread through the dead, dry, vegetation.

Hulett Edgmon, chairman of the city parks and recreation board, is optimistic that six tennis courts will be built in three Seminole parks before the summer is over.
“I’m almost positive that six courts will be built,” said Edgmon.
