Sen. Tom Woods is now one of the newest members of the Oklahoma Air National Guard. Woods, R-Westville, was sworn in during a ceremony at the state Capitol on Monday. The ceremony was officiated by Major Rex Alan Starr of Stilwell.

The 4th of July is rapidly approaching, and a “Seminole’s Got Talent Freedom Festival” is planned for Magnolia Park behind the Reynolds Wellness Center. Everyone is invited and encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of fellowship with friends and neighbors celebrating Independence Day. This event will include food trucks and plenty of fun activities.
