In response to a notable surge in alcohol related accidents during the holiday season, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol will be working with local law enforcement agencies across the state to conduct sobriety checkpoints and high-visibility saturation patrols over the New Year’s weekend. This is part of the nationwide Winter Holiday “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” impaired driving enforcement mobilization which began December 13 and will continue through January 1.
