Mullin Under Fire For ‘Joke’ About Reporter Violence

(Editor’s note: The statement from Kurt Gwartney as mentioned in the story appears on page 2). Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin received pushback Wednesday after “joking” that violence could solve “fake news” in a video posted on X late last week.
Above is a screenshot of Mullin’s video in which he tells a story about a reporter who shot and killed a congressman-turned-lobbyist. However, as the story came to an end, it took a dark turn.

Seminole County Pot Revenue Decreased in March

According to the April monthly report from the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC), medical marijuana sales rose in SEMINOLE COUNTY between February and March. Tax revenue brought in a total of $40,874.01 in March. This was $8,289.48 less than the $49,163.49 that was collected in the previous month.

Local Man Faces Rape, Child Porn Charges

ASeminole man is facing multiple sex crime-related charges involving two underage girls. Nineteen-year-old Julius Shaw was booked into the Seminole County Jail on March 31 on complaints of second-degree rape and the buying, procuring and possession of child pornography.
