Blakenship Maud, OK resident Ishmael “Lynn” Blankenship passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026 in Shawnee, OK at the age of 65.

Lynn is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Blankenship of Seminole; wife, Kristie Blankenship of Maud; two sons, Joshua Blankenship of Maud and Bryan Blankenship of Seminole; three daughters, Amy Blankenship of Shawnee, Emily Blankenship of Shawnee, and Jessica Blankenship of Midwest City; two sisters, Shirley Lynn Postoak of Seminole and Bridgette mcClanahan and her husband, Eugene; six grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Lynn was preceded in death by his father, Ishmael Lynn Blankenship Sr.

Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026 and from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at The Church of God in Maud, OK. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, OK. Pastor Dan Kasper and Pastor Danny Carter will be officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
