Summit Utilities Files Rate Increase Request With OCC
Summit Utilities, which provides natural gas under a franchise agreement with the City of Seminole, has asked the Oklahoma Corporation Commission for a rate increase.
According to OK Energy Today, Summit filed a recent request for a change in what is known as its Performance Based Rate Change Plan, based on costs it incurred in 2025.
If approved, the request would result in a monthly increase of $2.59 or 3.2% per customer in Oklahoma. The company serves 525,000 families and businesses in Oklahoma, Arkansas and the Texarkana, Texas area. It also maintains 17,000 miles of gas main pipeline in the three regions.
