SHS Target of Bomb Threat; Third Time This Month Locally

Posted in:

For the third time this month, a local school has been evacuated over a bomb threat.

Seminole High School students and staff were moved off campus just before noon Tuesday in response to a written threat referencing a bomb that was discovered in a restroom.

At 11:47 a.m. yesterday, the district sent out the following mass notification to parents/guardians of students: “Seminole High School has been made aware of a statement referencing a bomb written in a boys’ restroom. As a precaution, the building has just been evacuated. Students are safe and have been moved to a secure location away from the building while law enforcement conducts a thorough investigation. At this time, we ask that you do not come to pick up your students. We will provide updates and further instructions as soon as more information becomes available. Thank you for your cooperation and support as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.”
