Legislators Honor
Oklahoma Linemen
The Oklahoma Senate and House on Tuesday adopted resolutions recognizing the vital contributions of local linemen for their work maintaining Oklahoma’s power grid 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
Sen. Grant Green, R-Wellston, presented Senate Concurrent Resolution 18 in the Senate and Rep. Mike Dobrinski, R-Okeene, presented House Concurrent Resolution 1022 in the House. They also recognized hardworking linemen who were visiting the Capitol today.
“When severe weather hits and the lights go out, local linemen are often the first on the scene to restore power to homes, businesses, hospitals and emergency services,” said Green, who chairs the Senate Energy Committee. “Linemen work around the clock, often under dangerous conditions, to keep Oklahoma’s electric grid up and running. For that, we are all grateful.”
