Approval of a $280,000 federal grant to develop an industrial park in Seminole was announced today by U. S. Sens. Dewey Bartlett and Henry Bellmon of Oklahoma.

The announcement, anticipated here for several weeks, was hailed immediately by civic leaders and city officials this morning as a major achievement which will help the city attract more industry here.

The funds, provided by the Economic Development Administration and the Ozarks Regional Commission, will finance construction of sewer and water utility lines and curb-and-gutter streets through 55 acres of the park, located on the west side of north Harvey Road, north of the present Wonder Bread store.
