SSC Soccer Shutout Their Last Opponent of the Regular Season
The Seminole State soccer team just finished up their incredible season with another shutout victory over Eastern Oklahoma State College Wednesday afternoon.
Head Coach Dan Hill’s soccer team entered the game with a record of 12-1-2 and 9-0-1 in conference.
The Lady Trojans also entered the game on a 10-game winning streak. With the win, the girls moved it up to an 11-game streak for the season.
Seminole State dominated the first half of the game. Within just over a minute into play, Seminole State’s Rebekah Nolen scored the first goal for the Lady Trojans with teammate Zoe Trenchard assisting.
The great foot work of Seminole State kept EOS from threatening to score a goal throughout the game.
SSC’s Trenchard was next to score a goal with just a little over five minutes of play. Trenchard was assisted by Isabella Queneau.
Leslie Razo of Seminole State joined the group with a goal of her own to make the score 3-0.
Seminole State found their way through the EOS defense and continued to add to their lead.
SSC’s Kayla Pelter scored the next goal unassisted just under 30 minutes of play.
Before the half was up, Lady Trojans Fredricka Finnikin scored the fifth goal, who was assisted by Gracie Lee.
In the second half, it was a defensive battle as neither team lit up the score board.
The Seminole State stay undefeated at home with a final score of 5-0.
Goalies for Seminole State were Madelyn Jones who played 40 minutes and Hattie Morris who played 45 minutes and Bry Russell who played five minutes.
Seminole State now has 8 shutouts on the season and move up to 13-1-2 and 10-0-1 in conference.
Seminole States only loss came from Iowa Western Community College on September 13th. Iowa Western are also having a good season and are 12-1-5 on their season.
Seminole State now move on to Districts which will be played at the Advance Soccer Complex in Enid, Oklahoma on the 30th of October through November 1st.
Seminole State will play on Friday the 31st at 5:30 p.m.
The National Championship brackets should come out on the 10th of November. The National Championship Tournament will run through November 16th through the 22nd starting at 8:30 a.m. on the 16th at the Advance Soccer Complex in Enid.
