SSC’s Soccer Keep Their Winning Streak Alive

The Seminole State Soccer team won a huge match against the 11-1-1 tough Rich Mountain Lady Bucks Sunday afternoon and added another shutout to their record.

All of the SSC Lady Trojans scores came in the first half of the game.

Seminole State’s Fredricka Finnikin scored the first goal and was assisted by Leslie Razo about 30 minutes into the game.

Before the half, Mary Awuah for Seminole State scored the next goal and was assisted by Isabella Queneau.

The Lady Trojans held a 2-0 lead over the Lady Bucks heading into the second half.

Neither team scored in the second half as the Lady Bucks stepped up their defense but never threatened to score a goal throughout the game.

Seminole State won the game 2-0.

The Lady Trojans now have eight shutouts on the season The goalie for Seminole State was Bry Russell who played the whole 90 minutes with zero saves.

SEMINOLE vs MURRAY STATE The Lady Trojans played the following Wednesday after their big win over Rich Mountain to take on the Murray State Lady Aggies.

Seminole State came alive in the second half to continue their winning streak.

The Lady Aggies took the early lead at the beginning of the game.

Two minutes into the game, SSC’s Kamora Haralson scored a goal who was assisted by Mary Awuah to tie the game up.

The first half was a tough battle for both but the Lady Trojans scored two goals in the first half, but the points were called back.

At the halfway point, the score remained a tie game 1-1.

Seminole State’s coach Dan Hill settled down his team at the break and the girls came back firing.

Ten minutes into the second half, the duo of Haralson and Awuah scored another goal to put Seminole ahead.

In less than ten seconds later, Haralson struck again with another goal.

SSC’s Haralson was not done as she scored another goal six minutes after her last. She was assisted by Emma Fanous.

As the game progressed, Seminole State’s Reeve Ross joined in and scored an unassisted goal to put the Lady Trojans up 5-1.

In the last three minutes of the game, Fredricka Finnikin scored a goal that was assisted by Katelyn Magee and Alex Wilhite.

Right before the game ended with two seconds left on the board, Rebekah Nolen scored a goal. Nolen was assisted by Finnikin.

The Seminole State Lady Trojans dominated the second half and won the game 7-1.

The goalies for the game were Madelyn Jones who played for 16 minutes and had 1 save.

Bry Russell, who played 57 minutes and had 6 saves and Hattie Morris who played 16 minutes with no saves.

Next up for Seminole State is an away game at Tyler Junior College on the 18th.

The next home game for the Lady Trojans is a home game on the 22nd against Eastern Oklahoma State College. This will be Seminole State’s last game and last home game of the season before Regionals.

The game is set to start at 2 p.m.
