Seminole Lose Home Game Against Cleveland Tigers Friday
The Seminole Chieftains hosted the Cleveland Tigers Friday on a very cold and windy evening on the baseball diamond at the Lloyd Simmons baseball field.
The visiting Tigers went to bat first and jumped out to an early lead with three runs scored. The Chieftains had a hard time finding their momentum in the first few innings.
Cleveland added to their lead with five more runs scored at the top of the second to make it 8-0.
The Chieftains went scoreless in the first three innings but never gave up.
The Tigers scored a single run at the top of the third and fourth innings. Seminole lit up the scoreboard at the bottom of the fourth with Crew Lindley scoring on a ground ball by Ethan Noey.
The Tigers scored another run at the top of the fifth to make it 11-1.
The Chieftains could not make a rally back into the game and the game was called at a 11-1 score.
Pitching for the Chieftains was Ostin Bighead who pitched one inning, allowing 8 runs, walking four and striking out two.
Ethan Noey pitched two innings, allowing one run, one walk and striking out four.
Next up for the Chieftains is a home game against Ada on the 31st.
The game is set to start at 5 p.m.
