Seminole Chieftains Fall to Bristow Pirates at Home Tuesday
The Seminole Chieftains took on the Bristow Pirates for the second time in two days on Tuesday.
Monday, the Chieftains traveled to Bristow for the first of two games and fell way short of their goal of a win with a final score of 1-11.
At home on Tuesday, the Chieftains hoped to get some redemption over the Pirates with a win.
Bristow went to bat first and went three and out at the top of the inning.
The Chieftains came out firing with Ostin Bighead and Carter Childs scoring on a line drive and Maverick Northrip and G. Tiger scored on a ground ball to take the early lead.
Bristow got on the board in the second Pirates scoreless in the fourth and the offense closed the gap with two runs by Bighead and Crewe Lindley.
The Chieftains were down by four runs heading into the fifth inning. Neither team scored in the inning and the Chieftains held the Pirates scoreless again at the top of the sixth.
Seminole closed the gap a little more at the bottom of the sixth with a single run by Bighead on a fly ball by Ethan Noey.
The Chieftains were down by three runs heading into the seventh and final inning, but the Pirates went back to work on offense and scored seven more runs to put the game out of reach. The Chieftains went three and out at the bottom of the inning.
The Bristow Pirate won again with a final score of 18-8.
Pitching for Seminole was Ostin Bighead who pitched three innings, allowing four runs, three walks and had three strikeouts.
Ethan Noey pitched two innings, allowing 11 runs, three walks and striking out one.
Next up for Seminole is a home game this Friday against Cleveland.
The game is set to start at 5 p.m.
with a single run and the Chieftains answered right back with a single run of their own by Bighead.
