SHAWNEE, Okla. – Ahead of the 2025 International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR), the organization has announced the full roster for the six-day event, featuring more than 1,000 entries from 35 states and provinces. This diverse group of athletes will gather in Shawnee, Oklahoma, for the 33rd year of the IFYR. Set for July 6–11, the event is one of the richest youth rodeos in the sport, awarding nearly $250,000 in cash and prizes in 2024.

“If you have any doubts about the future of rodeo, you need to attend the IFYR,” said IFYR General Manager Dale Yerigan. “I’m amazed every year by the talent of these athletes and the level of competition at this legendary event. We’ve seen an endless list of cowboys and cowgirls that have come through Shawnee and go on to make their mark in college and professional rodeo. This wouldn’t be possible without our great corporate partners and the incredible dedication of our volunteers, who give up their vacation time to ensure everyone is taken care of when they arrive. I can’t thank them enough.”

Yerigan also noted that last year’s event paid out nearly $250,000 in cash and prizes.

Known for its prestige and competitive payout, athletes will compete for 13 coveted titles. Contestants in 10 disciplines—bareback riding, cowgirls breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, pole bending, goat tying, barrel racing, bull riding and team roping—will vie for some of the most prestigious youth titles in the sport.

The event will feature 11 performances, beginning Sunday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m., with the final performance on Friday, July 11, also at 7:30 p.m. Each day will include a morning and evening performance, starting at 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The rodeo format consists of two long rounds and a short go featuring the top 15 contestants in each event.

Youth rodeo’s top stars will compete under the bright lights of Shawnee. Headlining the competition is reigning All-Around Cowgirl Kasey Bass, who looks to repeat last year’s success. Other returning champions include barrel racer Patton Ann Lynch, breakaway roper Bleu Hall, saddle bronc rider Colt Bass and bull rider Jack Mitchell.

Among the standout youth athletes, 216 will represent the host state of Oklahoma. Traveling from across the Red River, Texas will also be well represented, with 205 Lone Star State athletes making the trip to Shawnee.
