OU Drops In Polls
OU DAILY - OU football dropped to No. 14 in the AP Poll.
This comes after the Sooners suffered their third loss to Texas in Brent Venables’ four years as head coach. They also failed to score a touchdown against the Longhorns for the third time in Venables’ tenure.
OU ranks No. 7 among Southeastern Conference schools in the rankings. Texas A&M, University of Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana State University and Tennessee are above the Sooners, while Missouri, Vanderbilt and Texas are below them.
In the Coaches Poll, Oklahoma dropped to No. 13 while Miami, Indiana and Texas A&M moved up to 2,3 and 4th place.
Next, OU faces the University of South Carolina at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium on SEC Network.
