Oklahoma Sooners Kickoff Times Announced for 2025 Season
SOONER WIRE - Kickoff times for the Oklahoma Sooners 2025 season were released on Wednesday.
Six of the team’s regular-season games have exact times, and another two are labeled as early games. Four remain in flex with an opportunity to be in prime-time windows. Early kickoff times are scheduled for either 11 a.m. or noon CT. The flex games are subject to network discretion and will kick in either the 2:30/3 p.m. window or the 5/7 p.m. CT window.
Two of Oklahoma’s biggest games, against Michigan and Texas, are locked in. The Sooners host Michigan in Norman during Week 2 (Sept. 6, 6:30 p.m.). The annual Red River Rivalry game against Texas is Week 7 (Oct. 11, 2:30 p.m.) in the SEC mid-afternoon time slot.
The other four games with announced start times are the opener at home against Illinois State (5 p.m.), at Temple in Week 3 (11 a.m.), against Kent State during Week 5 (3 p.m.) and against Missouri in Week 13 (11 a.m.).
Oklahoma’s two designated early games are at South Carolina on Oct. 18 and at home against Ole Miss on Oct. 25. Remaining games are designated flex start times: against Auburn (Sept. 20), at Tennessee (Nov. 1), at Alabama (Nov. 15) and against LSU (Nov. 29).
OU finished 6-6 during the regular season last year and lost its bowl game to Navy, supplying coach Brent Venables with a losing record in two of his first three seasons in Norman. The Sooners are largely expected to improve on last year’s results, with new offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and quarterback John Mateer arriving from Washington State in the offseason.
