The Little River Conference Softball Tournament is underway. The tournament kicked off Thursday evening at the new Firelake Ballfields further west of the Arena.

The tournament runs from the fourth through the sixth of September.

The Bowlegs Lady Bison and the Sasakwa Lady Vikings started the evening off facing each other in their first round. The Lady Bison won the match 14-2.

The Strother Lady Yellowjackets shut out the Mason Lady Eagles 9-0 in their first round.

The Varnum Lady Whippets faced the New Lima Lady Falcons in their first round. The Lady Whippets won 10-1.

Strother and Varnum will start Saturday morning off facing each other at 10 a.m. The tournament will go until approximately 4:40 p.m. That’s when the Championship game is scheduled. If necessary, the final game will be played at 6:40 p.m.
