Blue and channel catfish slow on cut bait and dough bait around flats and main lake. Crappie slow on jigs around docks and standing timber. McGee Creek: February 27. Elevation is 8 ft. below normal and falling, water temperature 51°F and stained. Crappie fair on minnows, small lures, and tube jigs around brush structure, main lake, and standing timber. Channel and flathead catfish good on cut bait, dough bait, live bait, shad, shrimp, stinkbait, and sunfish around creek channels, docks, and main lake. Robert S. Kerr: February 27. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 60°F and murky. (USACE Lake Level) Blue, channel, and flathead catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, live shad, shad, shrimp, and sunfish around channels, river channel, shallows, and shorelines. Striped bass, striped bass hybrids, and white bass slow on live shad, minnows, and spinnerbaits below the dam, coves, docks, points, riprap, and rocks. Crappie slow on flukes, grubs, hair jigs, in-line spinnerbaits, and small lures around brush structure, docks, points, shorelines, and weed beds. Comments: Fishing weather has arrived in Haskell County! Fishing weather has arrived in Haskell County! The water temp is still cool, but catfish have been biting on cut bait and chicken. Live shad have been a little hard to locate but in the shallow water in the afternoons seem to be the best time. Several anglers have done well on crappie in the creeks and creek mouths.
