Eufaula : July 4. Elevation is 5.5 ft. above normal and falling, water temperature 80°F and murky.

Striped bass, striped bass hybrids, and white bass good on hair jigs, jigs, and sassy shad below the dam, discharge, and tailwater. Channel and flathead catfish good on cut bait, live bait, live shad, and shad below the dam, channels, river channel, river mouth, and tailwater.

Crappie fair on caddis flies, hair jigs, and jigs around brush structure, coves, docks, and standing timber. Comments: Fishing this week has been tough once again for striper. One day will be better than the other. It’s hard to find a pattern day to day. Hopefully in the coming weeks it’ll get better. Catfish are still good near baited holes, river channels, and cleaning docks. Crappie are okay near brush piles and docks with jigs.
