Four Seminole County Cross Country Runners Compete at State
The 2025 OSSAA State Cross Country Championships were held at North Rock Creek Saturday morning and Seminole County had four runners qualify for state.
In Class 4A there was Gracie Stark from Seminole. In Class 2A there was Priscilla Alaniz from Wewoka.
In Class A there was Karsyn Lowery and Cooper Smith from Varnum.
The State Meet attracted 1,064 runners in total throughout 4A to Class A on a cold wet Saturday.
Leading our county schools at the event was Varnum Lady Whippet Karsyn Lowery who placed 11th with a time of 13:08.08 in the girls 3200 meter run out of 118 runners.
Varnum Whippet Cooper Smith placed 34th with a time of 18:47.52 in the boys 5000m run out of 126 runners.
Wewoka Lady Tiger Priscilla Alaniz placed 35th with a time of 13:30.21 in the girls 3200m run out of 136 runners.
Seminole Lady Chieftain Gracie Stark placed 108th with a time of 14:13.02 in the girls 3200m run out of 147 runners.
