Bowlegs Bison Win Big on Senior Night Over Paoli

The Bowlegs Bison won big Friday night over the Paoli Pugs in a lop-sided victory on Senior Night.

Bowlegs honored their seniors before the game Friday night. The Bison have eight seniors on their football roster this season.

The Bison took the early lead with a pass from quarterback Tylar Lee to Austen Byrd for a 17-yard touchdown. The two-point conversion was good.

As the quarter winded down, QB Lee found an opening and ran 34 yards in for the touchdown.

On the Pugs’ next offensive play, the quarterback threw an interception; Bison’s Austen Byrd caught the ball and ran it back 37 yards in for the pick-six.

Bowlegs had a 22-0 lead with less than 3-minutes left in the quarter. The Pugs moved the ball and scored on a 2-yard run to put up 8 points.

Bowlegs started on offense at the top of the second quarter. The Bison marched the ball down inside the redzone of Paoli and Lee scored on a 3-yard run.

Bowlegs kicked an onside kick which they recovered the ball, QB Lee connected with Cylas Mack for a 38-yard touchdown pass.

Bowlegs were on a roll with a score of 36-8.

Paoli was struggling on offense and turned the ball over on downs.

The Bison went back to work on offense and QB Lee found another opening and ran the ball 50 yards in for the touchdown.

Paoli settled down and lit up the score board with a 4-yard touchdown run. The score was now 44-14 Bowlegs.

The Bison duo of Lee and Byrd connected again on a 44-yard pass and catch play that resulted in a touchdown.

With around 7 minutes left in the second quarter, the Pugs scored on a 20-yard run to go up by 22 points.

Before the break, Bison lit up the scoreboard one more time with a run by running back Beck Branson who scored on a 34-yard rushing touchdown.

Bowlegs went into the half with a 60-22 lead.

In the second half, the Paoli Pugs had no answer for Bison. Quarterback Tylar Lee added to the Bison lead with a 6-yard touchdown run.

The defense of Bowlegs held the Pugs scoreless in the quarter and took advantage on offense.

Bowleg’s Lee put the game out of reach with another rushing touchdown, this time from 15 yards out to put the score at 72-22.

Paoli had seen enough, and the game ended in the third.

The Bowlegs Bison have won their Homecoming and Senior Night games their season.

Next up for Bowlegs is an away game at Maysville on the 7th of November.

The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
