The Bowlegs Bison hosted Fox Thursday night for their third home game of the season.

Fox proved to be a little too much for the Bison in tough battle during Fall Break.

The first quarter was a battle between the teams as the Foxes jumped on the board first with a touchdown run to go on top.

The Bison answered right back when wide receiver Austen Byrd scored on a 24-yard rushing touchdown run to tie the game up.

With less than two minutes left in the quarter, the Foxes scored on a 12-yard pass play to go up 14-8. Bowlegs came right back with a 1-yard rushing touchdown by quarterback Cylas Mack. The two-point conversion was good, and the Bison had the lead 16-14 after the first.

Fox controlled the second quarter both on offense and defense. Fox scored on a 25-yard pass to go up 20-16 and at the 7-minute mark, the Foxes scored on another pass play from 15 yards out.

The Bowlegs Bison were trailing 16-26 at the half.

Bowlegs settled down after the break and fired back when running back Beck Branson scored on a 9-yard run to close the gap by 2.

The Foxes scored two more touchdowns before the end of the third to go up 40-24.

With half a minute left in the quarter, Byrd returned a kickoff all the way in for the touchdown to close the gap again.

Bowlegs were down by 10 points heading into the final quarter. The Foxes added to their lead with two more rushing touchdowns at the halfway mark of the quarter but the Bison were not finished yet. Quarterback Mack kept the ball and scored on a 33-yard run to fire up the home crowd.

The Foxes had one more left in them and scored on a 25-yard rushing touchdown to seal the win for Fox.

The final score of the game was 62-36 Fox.

Next up for Bowlegs is an away game at Midway on the 24th of October.

The next home game will be on the 31st against Paoli.

This game will be Senior Night for the Bison.

The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
