The new Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) came to Norman Friday night as the Talons defeat the Volts in front of an Oklahoma crowd.

Oklahoma softball has some athletes on both sides of the two teams.

For the Talons, Sydney Romero of the Sooners and for the Volts, Sam Landry and Tiare Jennings of the Sooners and Samantha Show of Oklahoma State.

The Talons scored three runs in the first three innings and held off a late comeback bid by the Volts to collect a 3-2 Athletes Unlimited Softball League victory at Love’s Field on Friday evening.

Infielder Tiare Jennings has a hit in 7-of-9 games this season after her single in the first inning.

Pitcher Samantha Show suffered the loss in the circle after conceding three runs (two earned) on three hits across 2.0 innings.

Next up for AUSL is at Rosemont, IL The Stadium at Parkway Bank Sports Complex on the 7th of July.

There will be a double- header on this date. The first game is between the Bandits and Volts and the in the second game the Blaze and the Talon will face off.
