Annette Myrick Seminole, Okla.
In the Friday, October 24 Seminole Producer I read with interest the article about a food pantry’s efforts to supply needy families with food. It did not tell where the pantry is located, but I assume it is in Seminole because they give out food at the Municipal Building on the third Saturday of every month. I applaud them for the work they do.
I would like to praise another food pantry in Seminole. It is located on North Main Street called Interfaith Ministries and gives out food weekly. It is well staffed with plenty of volunteers.
This pantry was started over thirty years ago by a group of caring individuals who felt the need for helping needy people. Some of them include Mable Carter, Ed Herber, Larry Minnihan and Juanita Scott. If you see any one of them, you might thank them for their vision so long ago.
