Dear Editor, I just want to comment on a number of recent articles: 1. KFOR lawsuit vs our Education Tsar, Ryan Walters Dear Governor Stitt, you created this monster. Isn’t it time you relieved us and yourself of him? Both of you took an oath of office to uphold both the U.S. Constitution and the Oklahoma Constitution, and, surprise surprise, protection of freedom of speech is in both these documents! US Constitution, the First Amendment; Oklahoma Constitution Article II, Section 22. Do you want more businesses to bypass Oklahoma because their employees don’t want to live in a state with so much chaos going on in the school system? Cut your losses now and fire this man! His religion isn’t religion, it’s a symptom of a psychiatric condition, and we don’t want the voices in his head forced on us all! We also are supposed to have freedom of religion!

Plus, no one is reporting that Walters’ description of the Bibles he wants Oklahoma taxpayers to pay for is identical to Trump Bibles. Is he using public funds to make a political contribution? Isn’t there a journalist in the state of Oklahoma willing to look into this?!

2. City Reports $87,000 Billing Error I’m sorry but just going back and negotiating a payment plan won’t be enough. It is appalling that neither the City Manager nor the City Council know how this happened. That means it’s time for a formal forensic audit and investigation! Or somebody needs to tell what they know!

3. Glen Mollette What matters about an elected official isn’t where they go, but what they do when they go where they go! People do need to decide which candidate will help them the most: the one who helped this country emerge relatively unscathed from a worldwide pandemic or the one who tripled the national debt giving tax cuts to his rich buddies. The latter also spent campaign funds on personal affairs, for which he was convicted of several felonies, bankrupted whatever business he got in before he got into the politics business, and seems to be a puppet for a foreign government.

4. Finally, Producer Please stop utilizing initial abbreviations. If I can google something, so can you. What is “REI Oklahoma?” Is that where I go to obtain deet mosquito repellant? Recreational Equipment, Inc.? Or Rural Enterprises, Inc.? And if it’s Rural Enterprises, Inc., why do they follow this with “Oklahoma” in their name? Is there an REI Arkansas? What is the turf and true provenance of this organization? Or aren’t you naturally that curious?

I do appreciate that you print articles that do inform people about stuff that matters.
