I Never Thought I’d Live to See These Things

…And Then What Happened?
Posted in:

I never thought I’d live to see people purposely wear metal pierced in their noses that give the appearance like their noses are running.

I never thought I’d see people wearing jeans that look like they’ve been caught in a barbed wire fence and tore their way out. Now, the less fortunate are looking better dressed. I can’t believe white people are getting browner and browner by tanning too much—risking skin cancer— just because it’s considered ‘fashionable.’ It began when CoCo Chanel lay out in the sun too long on the French Riviera beach in the early ‘60s, got sunburned which later tanned her light skin. Since she was a leader in fashion, she decided to make it public that she did it on purpose to start a new trend. She had no idea the dangerous repercussions this would cause people in the future.

I never thought I’d see people intentionally hurting themselves by eating so much junk food full of salt and sugar that slowly destroys their bodies. I might add that many people who purposely listen to booming, loud music will soon be suffering from hearing loss. Both are serious health issues, and they sadden me.

I certainly never thought that millions of babies were and still are being destroyed around the world, without the ability to plead for their own lives. I just heard the stat than now the average number of children parents are having in this country is 1.6. Our population is seriously dwindling.

I never thought I’d continually be made aware of just how many people continue to be missing (especially precious children). We hear trafficking of people is one of the biggest money-making market in the world. They’re being sold for inhumane uses. These responsible for this are heatless, sick beings, so I pray often that it dawns on them how every being is created to have a right to live a decent life, and that one day, these traffickers will pay for what they do.

I never thought I’d see our educational system’s teachers be encouraged by the government leaders to teach children confusing ideas on personal identity, to dismiss morning exercises of opening with a short prayer and saying our Pledge to Allegiance to the flag. Many Oklahoma school leaders are challenging bringing back the teachings from the Bible.

The Bible teaches us to love and respect everybody, to treat others as we’d have them treat us, and what the 10 Commandments stand for. If children are taught that early in life, they will learn not to hate, to be selfish, to respect others and learn what good morals are. These negative actions are why many schools are experiencing chaos. And teachers have to be so careful in using corrective discipline, that many in our nation are leaving the teaching profession. No wonder more parents are home schooling and charter schools are popping up. I never would have dreamed of the dangers our country is facing when the current government leaders opened up our borders to people from anywhere without vetting them. And now letting these people be able to vote without even showing an ID. Who would have ever guessed such atrocities would be allowed?

(I know I haven’t used my column for political purposes, but these last 3 statements are just facts that are happening, and I’m sorry, but I can’t imagine my readers not being shaken. So, allow me to vent.)

I can’t understand most schools dropping classes that prepare students with life skills. Young people are so ill-prepared when leaving home and taking care of themselves or getting married and raising children. What does that say about our future leaders? Sounds to me like a generation that will depend more and more on the government to lead their lives.

I’m going to end this by discussion germs—in which could be taught in life-prep classes. You know, the little, tiny critters that carry diseases and sicknesses, that grow and multiply in dark, damp, messy places. Houses, whose occupants don’t keep food put up, who don’t keep floors, bathroom and kitchen sinks, clean, as well as their dirty clothes picked up and occasionally laundered, don’t realize what they are creating. It’s especially important to keep houses clean if babies, and/or children live there. They’re more susceptible to illnesses.

And wearing jeans or pants too long that drag the floor, are germ carriers. I’ve even seen healthcare workers wearing such, who walk right into doctor offices and hospitals. It’s hard enough to keep those places clean without purposely carrying in germs on your clothes. I just never thought I’d see such things. Times change, but common sense doesn’t in reference to all these issues. (These are all just my opinion, of course, in which I still have freedom to express.) And that’s all I’m going to say about that.

Have a safe, good week Help someone. Make a positive difference while you can!
