TAOS Student to Continue Educational Journey at Purdue
The Academy of Seminole is celebrating the accomplishments of Arsha Nourbakhsh, a 16-yearold student whose academic success is a powerful example of what is possible through The Academies of Oklahoma’s innovative early college program.
Arsha has been accepted into several of the nation’s most prestigious universities, including the University of Oklahoma, the University of Minnesota, the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Ohio State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, and Purdue University. He has chosen to continue his engineering journey at Purdue University, one of the top engineering schools in the country.
Through The Academies of Oklahoma’s high school college program, Arsha was able to complete nearly 74 college credit hours while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA, all while still in high school. This program allows students to earn college credits 100 percent tuition-free, giving them a significant head start on their future without the burden of student debt.
At just 16 years old, Arsha’s accomplishments are especially remarkable. His success reflects not only his academic ability but also his dedication and drive. He has consistently demonstrated a deep intellectual curiosity, strong initiative, and a level of maturity well beyond his years.
He took full advantage of the opportunities available to him, including becoming the first student from The Academy of Seminole to attend classes at the University of Oklahoma while still enrolled in high school. In addition to his academic achievements, Arsha earned first place in the University of Oklahoma’s regional math competition, competing against more than 360 students from over 100 schools across Texas and Oklahoma.
Even outside of the school year, Arsha continues to pursue academic growth by attending camps and enrolling in additional coursework. His work ethic, character, and commitment to excellence set him apart and serve as an inspiration to other students.
“This is exactly what The Academies of Oklahoma were designed to do,” said district leadership. “Students like Arsha are able to graduate with college credits, real experience, and a clear path forward, all at no cost to their families. This changes lives.”
The Academies of Oklahoma continue to provide students across the region with access to a tuition-free college pathway, preparing them for high-demand careers and long-term success.
As Arsha prepares to begin his next chapter at Purdue University, The Academy of Seminole celebrates his achievements and the bright future ahead.
