Posted in:

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating a “suspicious death” that occurred Saturday night, Dec. 14 in Seminole.

According to OSBI Public Information Hunter McKee, the Seminole Police Department requested the assistance of the OSBI in relation to a death of a person, reportedly a male, on Randolph Drive. McKee said the deceased was transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death and make a positive identification.

This story was still developing at press time, and more details will be provided as they become available.

The OSBI Investigative Services Division provides a range of criminal investigative assistance to law enforcement throughout the state. The most common types of crimes investigated include homicide, suspicious deaths, officer-involved shootings and use of force, public corruption, crimes against children, and sex offenses. Pursuant to Oklahoma law, the OSBI is an assisting agency and can only respond to requests for investigations from law enforcement and certain other agencies.
