WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2024 DEAR ABBY: A close male friend, “Will,” ended our friendship without warning. I didn’t know he had such strong feelings about my current arrangement.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2024 DEAR ABBY: My boyfriend’s mom has dementia. He asked me and my kids to move in with him and said he would marry me. In exchange, he expected me to quit my job and take care of his mom.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2024 DEAR ABBY: I’m married, and in my mid-40s. My wife and I have a robust social life, for which we both feel very lucky and blessed. We have amazing friends who are a wonderful support system and with whom we go out regularly.

You’ve surely seen them. The people in your life that rarely look at the glass as half empty. To them, having a half-empty glass just means they can to fill it to the brim with whatever they choose.

I am a certified Baby Boomer, so when I grew up in the 1960s there were nearly three zillion kids in my neighborhood. Nearby was a public pool that offered free swimming lessons each summer. Most of us kids begged to attend those lessons, and most of us did.

Can’t remember where I heard the term ‘Clouds without water’ last week and didn’t question its meaning, but it lingered in my mind. Ironically, while looking in the book of Jude for something to write about, I came across the phrase.

A few weeks ago, we looked at the beauty beheld in the Golden Ratio, and last week we looked at the beauty found in music that follows the Golden Ratio. But it is the beauty of nature that surpasses all else.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2024 DEAR ABBY: I’ve been seeing “Pete” for eight months. He has been divorced for the last 15 years. He has two grown children and five grandchildren with his ex-wife, “Linda,” who is still a significant person in Pete’s life.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2024 ** DEAR ABBY: I am a 37-year-old woman with a very supportive husband. I love him dearly, but I have some concerns. We have no children although we tried for years. Then I found out I have PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome).

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2024 DEAR ABBY: Eight years ago, my husband of 26 years had a stroke, and his personality changed. He was difficult to deal with, but, with time, his old personality came back, and things got better.
