At one time in my life, I thought it would be as well to have ‘church’ in God’s creation in our nearby woods. But when I did find a church, I experienced a great difference in my life.
Since we began our journey several months ago, it seems to me a good time to take stock of where we are. Fredrich Nietzsche, the nineteenth century German philosopher first coined the bold phrase; “God is Dead” back in 1883.
Two-month-old Lydia suddenly feels uncomfortable, so she begins twisting her little head back and forth, whimpering, and when that doesn’t bring her mom, she begins shifting her body around.

DEAR ABBY: My husband’s uncle died by suicide in his home six months ago. It was a shock to the entire family. Since the funeral, we have helped to settle his affairs, including cleaning out his home to get it ready for sale.

DEAR ABBY: My sister-in-law “Bethany” has been diagnosed with PTSD from her military service. For the past 15 years, Bethany has picked fights with my wife, her sister, over anything and everything. She feels my wife “changed” after she married me.

DEAR ABBY: I live in an apartment building. I am quiet and keep to myself. There’s a concierge here who is incredibly nosy. When I pick up my package, she asks, “So, what’s in the package?” as if I’m doing something nefarious.
Because this sketch was written in 2006, I added a few other unbelievable travels. Reminiscing does one good when traveling slows to almost a complete stop.

DEAR ABBY: I enjoy helping my friends, my partner and family members. I feel doing good deeds is important in my retirement. My hands are pretty full with getting my elderly dad to medical visits, and I also visit him three times a week.
