Konawa Tigers Win at Home Friday Night Against Healdton

Posted in:

The Konawa Tigers were at home Friday night against the Healdton Bulldogs in their fifth game of the season.

The Tigers entered the game with a 3-1 record on the season so far and were looking to protect their home.

The game turned out to be a very tough game for both teams and a low scoring one too as the Tigers came out on top.

The first half was a defensive game from both sides. Neither team could light up the scoreboard.

At the half, the score was 0-0.

In the third, the Tigers lit up the board when Quarterback Evan Buxton connected with wide receiver Mason Davis for the touchdown. QB Buxton converted the two-point conversion.

The Bulldogs had no answer, and the defense kept Healdton scoreless in the second half.

The Tigers did not score in the final quarter but did not need to as they won the game 8-0.

Next up for the Konawa Tigers is an away game on the 11th at Elmore City.

The next home game for the Tigers is on the 18th against Velma Alma. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
