Posted in:

Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU), which has a branch on Milt Phillips in Seminole, has merged with LiFE Federal Credit Union (LiFE FCU), marking TFCU’s expansion into Texas.

According to a news release, the merger became official on May 19, with all LiFE FCU accounts, services and staff transferring to TFCU. The former LiFE FCU Cross Roads location is now operating as TFCU, and renovations are currently underway at a second TFCU branch slated to open in Denton this summer.

“We are thrilled to welcome the new members from LiFE FCU to the TFCU family,” said Dave Willis, president and CEO at TFCU. “As we come together through this merger, we want them to know how excited we are to serve and be part of their financial journey.”

LiFE FCU staff have joined the TFCU team and will continue offering the same friendly service their members have come to know and trust. Members transitioning to TFCU may continue using their existing checks and cards, with more details to come as systems become fully integrated.

Established in 1946, TFCU is one of the nation’s leading credit unions serving more than 460,000 members. With over $6 billion in assets and a consistent five-star rating from Bauer Financial year over year, TFCU remains strong, secure and committed to growth and its members.

The news release stated that the merger with LiFE FCU strengthens TFCU’s commitment to supporting communities in both Oklahoma and Texas through financial education, volunteer initiatives and community sponsorships — key components of TFCU’s mission to help members achieve their goals and realize their dreams.
